Sage 200

Powerful accounts, trading and CRM software suite with unrivalled usability and easy customisation to exactly suit your business processes.

Sage 200 is a modular suite of programs designed to provide sophisticated data processing and operational management in a software solution which is still intuitive to use but highly configurable.

The Core Modules

  • Sales
  • Purchase and Nominal ledger functions
  • Cash Book (Bank)
  • Systems Administrator (security and configuration)
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Business Intelligence is also included as a set of standard and configurable report tools to provide dynamic management dashboards and KPI reporting.

Nominal cost centre and departmental analysis

You can attribute costs, analyse budgets and produce management reports, e.g. Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss, by department and cost centre.

You can also attribute individual transactions by your own analysis codes, for example, to track projects across departments and cost centres.

There are also a wealth of further industry-specific applications, designed specifically to work hand in hand with Sage 200, created by a network of over 200 Sage Developers.

Spindle Professional document software further enhances Sage 200, by automatically handling the distribution of items such as invoices, statements and letters via e-mail, fax or print, significantly reducing administration overheads when you have large amounts of documents to send out.

Free tools such as Sage 200 Mobile provide access to key data for users on the move, such as sales people, management or those responsible for authorising purchase orders.

Sage 200 supports multiple sites, cost centres and departments, and multiple companies with accounts consolidation, so is particularly useful in a group accounting scenario, with scalability up to 50 users.

Open or Closed Period Accounting

You can open, close and re-open periods as required, ledger by ledger; up to 20 periods can be set for each financial year. Access is tightly controlled by individual user permissions and there's a full history of who changed what and when.

Trading Periods

These can be set up to match the accounting periods if required, or have their own date range structure. These date ranges can be set to suit your business, for example, you could measure sales performance on a weekly basis at busy times of the year and monthly at other times.

Foreign currency capability

You can trade with foreign customers and suppliers and in any mixture of currencies. For example, you can produce foreign currency invoices, statements, receipts and payments and you can maintain currency-specific product pricing and discounts.

You can specify spot and/or period rates of exchange for each currency and all changes are recorded along with who made them. All transactions are recorded in base currency with the exchange rate used, so you can closely track the effects of currency fluctuations over time.

Enables your customers to place orders with you in their own currency, and all order documentation is produced using the appropriate currency. Exchange rates are controlled by you and applied either at order entry or at the invoicing stage.

Credit Management

We supply a range of credit tools including debtors' letters, statement production, provisions for doubtful and bad debts and the ability to place customer accounts on hold. Detailed credit information can be held against each customer/supplier record.

Automated payments

Sage 200 will suggest which payments to make to your suppliers in order to benefit from early settlement discounts.

Price Book allows you to trade with your customers in a fully flexible way

Unlimited and currency aware price bands for each product can be used along with unlimited discount schemes; pricing 'communities' can then be created to link in to them.

Choice of full, rapid, or trade counter order entry

Rapid order entry mode uses standard pricing and delivery addresses, so that orders can be entered with just a few keystrokes. If more information needs to be recorded against the order use full order entry allowing for full flexibility.

Trade counter order entry quickly creates an order, allocates and dispatches stock, generates and prints an invoice in one process.

Margin and discount analysis

Authorised staff can view the margin of a sales order at overall and line item levels, to allow instant price negotiation. In addition the sales order displays realised profit that takes into account any changes to the cost pricing. The discounts applied to a particular item can also be called up - allowing customer queries to be easily answered.

Suggested Orders

You can automatically compile lists of what you should order, based on shortfall (by warehouse, if necessary) and what's required for back-to-back orders.

Multi-location stock

This makes it easy to work with stock held in different locations. You can run each location independently in terms of stock levels, purchases and reporting. Serial or batch numbered items Control high value items, or other items that require a unique ID with serial numbers. Use batch numbers to track items that need to be purchased, stored and sold in batches.

Units of measure

Buy stock in bulk and sell in smaller quantities, maximising your purchasing power.

Batch Tracability

Record and search for batch or serial numbers.
